Still not posting every day but maybe one day I will find some of the 'get up and go' that got up and went!
I have a new(ish) card to share. Not parchment but a card I started making at a class and only just finished - oops! I really wanted a Jubilee themed card for today as it is my daughters' partners' birthday (really do wish there was a better name for him than that)
The picture is OK but I did take it before I put the sentiment on so if something does look amiss it's that. It's also a bit on the dark side although it looked brighter on the camera. I think I either need more lessons or a new camera.

This class was a lesson in distressing and I loved it. I'm good at getting messy (ask my family!) Anyway, the card was white stamped randomly with an alphabet and embossed with white powder and the distress ink applied all over (at least that is what my memory tells me. Jo may say otherwise lol) We then distressed some old newspaper by scrunching and inking. I think I should have used a different colour on there but I am still learning. The band is gold mirri with 3 brown pearlised card candy and the topper is from Kanban. I used Petal Porcelain which I've had for about 10 years to give his buttons and specs some depth. And that is it. I wish I had the sentiment on it but it wasn't dry and I didn't want to risk it. I had glazed that too as it looked lost.
