Bad Blogger!!

Oh bother! It has been so long since I last blogged and I haven't uploaded any of my work for ages. I hope I can put this right at the week-end. I have so much to share from cards etc I've done on my own and some I had made at workshops with the fabulous Jo Rice

I just wanted to post today about the fantastic few days I have had lately. On Friday I went with Jo and Alex to a workshop with the great Nikki Hall at CJ Cardcrafts in Edgely. We had a great afternoon learning the correct way to colour with alcohol pens and hopefully I will go to another in August.
Nikki printed some images from her Cds (I can't remember the name just yet but will post details when I add the images) We focused mainly on the girls' hair which could have been blonde or brown but because I had 'misplaced' my Promarkers  had to use my Spectrum Noir  and the only colour I had with 5 shades was - PURPLE!! so my young lady has purple hair.
One of the biggest tips Nikki gave was using black to create the dark shades regardless of the colours you use. I was amazed at the difference it made because I would never have dreamt of using it but I will from now on, so pictures to follow

Yesterday afternoon was spent with Jo and the gang doing a fabulous workshop with canvas and Indigoblu stamps. She really is an inspiration to me and I think I would be totally lost without her. Not just because of her wonderful artistic talent but also her friendship and support.

Sadly, the workshops in Buxton are coming to an end this week but hopefully Jo will visit from time to time if we can get a craft group up and running on a regular basis.  So Saturday will be another afternoon with Jo and friends crafting at Pooles Cavern for the last time.

Well, I feel I have waffled on without sharing any pictures quite long enough so I shall leave it here and with fingers firmly crossed, blog later today (well, it is 2 am) WITH pictures.

Goodnight for now and thank you for dropping by

  1. Hi, good to have you back blogging again....
Yes, the workshop with Nikki was wonderful and we all must have behaved ourselves otherwise she would not be coming back.
Thank you for your kind words, but it is the lovely crafters like yourself that makes the workshops so good.
See you on Saturday. Jo. X
